Photography studio owners are hoping police can track down two thieves who were caught on camera stealing Christmas decorations from a Long Beach store.
The two thieves, described as a man and a woman, left around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, just in time for the holiday season, wearing vintage holiday decorations.
“Hopefully someone will come up to me and say, did you really steal from Santa Claus? Did you really steal the Christmas spirit?” Michael, owner of f/8 studios Mr Farmer said:
Farmer and his wife, Marni, who dressed up as Mr. and Mrs. Claus during the holidays, say a Grinch-like heist is enough to earn them a place on this year’s list of thieves.
“It’s a Grinch move,” Marni said. “It doesn’t dampen our spirits, but it’s a shame to see adults grumpily steal Christmas during the holidays.”
Although the couple insists they did not recognize the thieves, this is not the first time their studio has been robbed.
“For six months, we were robbed and our photography equipment was stolen, which was a violation,” Marni said.
Despite the robbery, the farmers are pleased that the community has rallied around local small businesses, even offering to replace some of their decorations.
“Oh, isn’t that wonderful? Oh, that’s amazing. This is what brings out the best in people, right? We want the community to come together and strengthen the holiday spirit,” Marni said. Ta.
