A bizarre search and rescue operation unfolded Monday for the occupants of an SUV that reportedly fell 1,000 feet down a hillside in Ventura County Saturday night.
Details are limited and it’s unclear exactly how the accident happened in the area of Deer Creek Road, about two miles south of the Pacific Coast Highway, but initial reports suggest The seriously injured rear seat passenger was able to extricate himself from the white car. The news agency said the man was able to walk back to the road, where his brother picked him up and rushed him to a local hospital.
