A week after Christmas ornaments were stolen from a Long Beach photography studio at 2:30 a.m., the thieves returned to return the stolen items to the business.

In an exclusive interview with NBCLA, Michael Farmer, owner of f/8 Studios, said, “I intended to issue an immediate apology.” “She explained to me that after seeing this on the news, everyone hated her. She said her daughter was beaten at school because of it.”

Farmer spoke to NBCLA and local news outlets after vintage Santa and snowman molds were stolen from in front of his studio off Orange Avenue in the California Heights neighborhood.

Surveillance cameras at the studio showed the man and woman removing the mold, stuffing it into a car and speeding away.

“She said she’d never done it before, but the fact that she did it and got caught shows that she shouldn’t have done it,” she said, expressing her remorse as the two thieves returned on Tuesday. said Farmer. “She asked me if I wanted to call the police,” Farmer said.

Farmer did not call the police, instead choosing to meet with police to retrieve the mold. The man apologized and tried to shake his hand.

“I can’t do that, a handshake means everything to me, and I’m not going to shake your hand like you’re my friend when you stole from me and my family,” Farmer said. I did.

The manager was clearly still upset but tried to reconcile his feelings with what the two had done.

“I had a bad upbringing. I didn’t grow up with anything, and I was on the streets at 13, but I never stole from anyone,” Farmer said.

They never told Farmer their names. The woman said she took the mold because she had no intention of celebrating Christmas and wanted her daughter to eat something special.

“If her daughter wants to have a Santa experience, we’ll give her a Santa experience. We want her to come and spend Christmas with us,” Farmer said.

A Christmas gesture from the cameraman who is dressing up for the role. Farmer will play Santa during the Studio Santa Experience.

Farmer plans to keep the mold indoors for now, but plans to display it during the Cal Heights Christmas tree lighting Thursday night.
