Hundreds of firefighters are still battling the Franklin Fire, which broke out in the Malibu area Monday night.
The fire has now burned 2,200 acres near Pepperdine University, prompting closures and evacuations.

Evacuation orders have been issued for the following areas.
South of Piuma Road North of Pacific Coast Highway East of Las Bergenes Road and Malibu Road West of Carbon Beach Terrace
Evacuation advisory
Evacuation warnings have been issued for the following areas.
East of Las Vergenes, between Mulholland Highway to the north and Piuma Road to the south. Between Stunt Road north and Los Flores southeast of Carbon Beach Terrace, west of Old Malibu Road and north of Pacific Crest Highway to the evacuation order boundary of Topanga Zones 8 and 10.
school closure
Pepperdine University students were ordered to shelter in place, and the school issued a statement on social media. However, as of 8:05 a.m., the shelter-in-place order was lifted.
After assessing the situation on campus at dawn, the university will lift the shelter-in-place protocol. Campus conditions are safe for community members to return to residence halls and on-campus homes. The community is strongly encouraged to stay and remain on campus.

All schools in the Santa Monica-Malibu School District were also closed due to the fire.
road closure
Pacific Coast Highway is closed between Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Coral Canyon Road except for evacuations, according to Caltrans.
Additional road closures can be found on the Los Angeles County Public Works website.
shelter
An evacuation center has been set up at the Palisades Rec Center, 851 Alma Real Drive, Pacific Palisades.
The center is open to anyone displaced by the wildfires. Pets are allowed in carriers or crates.
A shelter for small animals has been set up at the Agoura Animal Shelter, 29525 Agoura Road in Agoura Hills.
A large animal shelter has been set up at Pierce College, 6201 Winnetka Avenue in Woodland Hills.
