The 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after being brutally assaulted while walking to his home from a school in San Bernardino County.
On March 6, San Bernardino County deputies responded to an attack near the intersection of Sunny Slope Drive and Love Enatiera Avenue in Twentin Palms at about 2:18pm.
The boy was walking to the house when the suspect suddenly approached and began to wander. The boy was left unconscious and suffered serious injuries to his face, head and neck.
The suspect fled the scene before authorities arrived. The boy was later taken to the hospital for treatment.
The suspect is said to be an adult black man between the ages of 30 and 40. He finally wore a burgundy hoodie, jeans and black sneakers.
The motivation behind the attack remains unknown. No further details have been made public as the case is under investigation.
