The body of a 31-year-old California woman was found near a hiking trail in Scottsdale, Arizona late last month, officials said.
Hannah Moody, known as the Los Angeles Times social media influencer, was first reported missing on May 21 after saying she hadn’t heard of her and after going on a hike that day, she couldn’t contact her.
In a news release, authorities at the Scottsdale Police Department responded to the trailhead where the 31-year-old was last seen and found her car still in the parking lot.
“Officers have launched a search operation on foot with drones and support from a helicopter at the Phoenix Police Station,” the release said. “Hanna’s search efforts lasted for about four and a half hours until around 11:30pm when the evening search was halted.”
More than 20 officers who picked up the search the following morning on bikes, on foot, and by drone, with the help of Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department’s search and rescue and aviation units said.

On her Instagram account, which attracted over 45,000 followers, Moody’s posts focused on what appears to be hiking, fitness and what seems to be her passion for Christian beliefs.

The 31-year-old lived in Los Angeles, Orange, Alameda counties and South Carolina, according to a report by the Times.
“Scottsdale detectives and crime scene personnel will conduct a thorough investigation to summarise what happened to Hannah and how she died,” authorities said at their release. “Our investigation will work with the Maricopa County Medical Examination Office, which will ultimately determine the cause of death.”
Temperatures in the area where her body was found, including the day she was found, have routinely exceeded 100 degrees by noon.
Investigators said Moody’s body showed no signs of trauma or foul play while the death investigation was in its early stages.
