Los Angeles police were unable to immediately check many details surrounding the incident. However, preliminary information shows that crowds were gathering in the Figueroa Street and 12th Avenue area around 2:50am on Saturday.
Videos from the scene show participants getting donuts and burnouts as they light fireworks and many bystanders cheer on the road, blocking traffic and recording antics. Some stood on the scaffolding in front of the building across the street for better views.

The windows looked broken, but by the time the KTLA crew arrived at the scene, they were already on board. Footage taken during the acquisition shows that some cars appeared to have been shot with paintball guns.
LAPD officials eventually dispersed the crowd.
No further information about the incident was available, including whether an arrest was made.
