The warm, clear skies in Southern California earlier this week are expected to be cool and overcast as rain could potentially fall by the weekend.
“The temperatures are amazing today,” KTLA meteorologist Henry DiCarlo said Tuesday morning. Downtown Los Angeles expects a high of 75 degrees, primarily in clear skies.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), there is a slight increase in cooling on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
“Look Thursday,” Henry said. “We have a storm to the north and it may take us back our path. So it gives us a chance to pick up some dark clouds on Wednesday evening. Maybe we can sprinkle a bit of light here and there on Thursday, but we’re not being hit directly.”

Weekend forecasts require a cool, cloudy condition with the possibility of burnout of the stubborn ocean layers near the coast and inland rain.
“IE (Inland Empire)… There’s a shot of rain. It looks like that system on a Saturday night’s predicted weekend, but now it looks a bit stagnant, so it brings back that rain.
Henry said timing and moisture content will be better accurate later in the week.
As the system moves east, it is expected to dry out and warm a few degrees on Monday.
