At least one person is in custody after a fiery pursuit packed with sparks Wednesday night that illuminated the highway near Los Angeles International Airport and ended up with at least three or four suspects who eventually flee the vehicle.
It is unclear exactly when the pursuit was launched by Southgate Police Station officials, but officers handed it over to CHP just before 11pm.
The suspect reportedly wanted to swing the firearm around with preliminary and unconfirmed reports suggesting there were at least two handguns and a rifle in the vehicle.

When the driver entered the loose horseshoe, the Sky5 was chased, and CHP attempted to maneuver the pit. The suspicious vehicle rebutted by entering a parking garage where it may have thrown a firearm from the white SUV.

When the vehicle reappeared, the rear bumper was seen dragging, a spark flying from the right front tire, which eventually evaporated, leaving the SUV on the three wheels and the rim.
In the area of Gorman Avenue and East 115th Avenue, the driver eventually pulled with suspects who exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
The suspect behind the wheels of the vehicle did not move it away before being surrounded by CHP officials with a gun depicting it. He surrendered and was taken into custody.
Law enforcement boundaries had been set up in the area to find the remaining suspects when Sky5 was forced to leave the scene.
