The juvenile suspect was arrested in connection with a carjacking in Culver City.
On March 3, Culver City Police responded to a report of a carjack in the parking lot in the 10,800 block of Jefferson Boulevard around 9pm
The female victim said he approached three male suspects who were wearing red bandanas over their faces between the ages of 16 and 25.
The suspect forced her to grab the woman’s wallet and car keys and quickly find her car using the stolen keys.
One suspect drove a woman’s car, while another suspect followed behind in another car. By the time police arrived at the parking lot, the suspect had fled. Officers searched the area but were not found.
The next morning, around 6:30am, we found out that a woman’s car was open in Los Angeles. The car was obtained and processed for evidence.
The department’s forensics department has identified the suspect through fingerprints found in the vehicle. The suspect whose name has not been made public due to his position as a boy was placed and taken into custody on March 4th.
The other two suspects have not been arrested yet, and further details regarding the incident have not been released.
