A Rancho Cucamonga man did not suicidal Tuesday for allegations of robbing a car at a Los Angeles County cemetery while the vehicle owner was mourning.
David Bassett, 44, was sentenced to four years in prison for four counts of the second robbery of the vehicle, according to the LA County District Attorney’s Office. He is also scheduled to appear at a return hearing on March 28th.
In February 2024, Bassett targeted mourners at the Two Boat Lawn Cemetery and Oakwood Memorial Park and the cemetery, prosecutors said. In some cases, he took credit cards from the robber vehicle and spent the victim’s money.
