A man on the Grand Terrace shot two men who broke into his home Tuesday night.
The break-in was reported to police shortly after 9:15pm, and when they arrived at their home in the 23,000 block of Grand Terrace Road, the unidentified residents had multiple people urged him to break into his home and grab a gun, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
“Fearing his safety and self-defense, the victim fired a round at the suspect, and the suspect escaped the place in a white sedan,” the release said.
Law enforcement officials found the suspected perpetrator within an hour after the two people with gunshot wounds were reported to authorities.

About 10-15 minutes after the break-in, lawmakers responded to a 76 gas station on Redlands Boulevard in Loma Linda, where they found the man who was shot and a 15-year-old boy.
The man was found lying on the ground and declared he was dead in a local hospital. The teenager was detained, saying, “The agent decided on the deceased and determined that the juvenile was involved in the housing robbery.”
The third man was placed around 10:05pm when officers from the San Bernardino Police Station were warned of gunshot victims at a local hospital.
The man, Marquez Jackson, has undergone surgery for his wounds and remains hospitalized, but he “will be booked for robbery and murder upon discharge from the hospital,” SBSD said.
The teenager, who also faces robbery and murder charges, was booked at the Boys Hall.
There is still a fourth person, and anyone with information will be asked to call 909-890-4904.
