Authorities are looking for the person who killed a man riding a bike in a Canoga Park neighborhood on Thursday night.
The attack was reported at 9:30pm on International Avenue near Canoga Avenue in the San Fernando Valley Community. Investigators said the man was on his bike and carrying a backpack and food when he was stabbed.
The neighbor left flowers and candles where the victim, identified only in a man in his 30s, was attacked. The paramedics replied, but the man died at the scene.
“He collapsed in that red car and began screaming for help. One woman from these apartments came out and tried to help him,” witness Chris Sanchez said. “From there he was just lying there. No one could help him.”
Residents said they were not aware of the victim.
It was not immediately clear what was stabbed.
No arrests were reported Friday afternoon. A detailed description of the attacker was not available.
The detective was checking at a nearby apartment complex in search of security camera video.
