Police have arrested an armed protester, a convicted felon who justified his arrest after trying to fight someone at a Saturday “No Kings” demonstration in Huntington Beach.
Information released by the Huntington Beach Police Department shows officers patrolling near Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway next to the Huntington Beach pier around 3:30pm saw the man “actively scream at pedestrians and challenged the fight.”

The man police say waving a Mexican flag has been identified as 25-year-old Eduardo Pineda. When contacted Pineda, officers discovered that they had an aggressive warrant due to being arrested for vandalism and battery.

Thus, Pineda was booked for being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm and challenging others to fight in public in addition to his unpaid warrant.
“HBPD remains committed to promoting peaceful public demonstrations while taking action against illegal or threatening behavior,” the department said.

Huntington Beach is one of California’s most prominent Republican homes. The city is called “American Trump” by the Wall Street Journal. Many “king” protesters in Huntington Beach on Saturday met with pro-Trump administration rebels.

Saturday saw the “king” protests that will bring out the country with President Donald Trump’s administration’s policies, including dozens of demonstrations in Southern California.
In Los Angeles… will yoga begin the “king” protest?
Most of them remained peaceful except for a few dispersal issues in downtown Los Angeles. However, on Saturday night, two crashes were seen during protests in Inglewood and Riverside.
Police are looking for a felony hit and run suspect in connection with the latter case.
