According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, a 26-year-old Rialto woman has been arrested in connection with the Lytle Creek mail theft, and authorities continue to search for two additional suspects.
On the evening of July 27, 2025, three individuals, including Destiny Coles and two unidentified men, allegedly broke into several locked mailboxes at the Lytle Creek Post Office in the 300 block of Valley Vista Drive, stealing packages and emails. Witnesses took photos of the suspect’s vehicle. This was filmed as the white 2016 Volkswagen Jetta that investigators later registered with Coles.

Detectives from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station deployed vehicles on July 30th and implemented traffic stops at Rialto. While stopped, Coles was arrested and found himself in possession of more than 100 stolen mail along with identity theft and a cloned US Postal Service Master Key. Authorities said the stolen mail came from several cities in San Bernardino County, including Lytle Creek, Fontana, Rialto, San Bernardino, Rancho Cucamonga, Colton and Highlands.
Coles has been booked at the West Valley Detention Center and is being held without bail.

Investigators have released photos of the suspicious vehicle to spot additional victims and identify the two remaining suspects. The investigation is ongoing, with both detectives from the Fontana Sheriff’s station and US Postal Service inspectors involved.
