A Riverside County man was arrested for attempted murder and after allegedly hugging someone against his will.
The suspect was identified as Arturo Salcido Guillar, 47, of Blythe, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
On April 1, deputies responded to a fatal weapon attack in the near 7500 block of US Highway 95 at 5:22pm
The victims have not been identified, but he told authorities that Aguilar has strangled them and are allegedly preventing them from leaving their homes. The suspect fled the scene before authorities arrived.
A few days later, on April 4th, Aguilar was in a vehicle in the 400 block of Chanraway, Blythe. Deputies attempt to pull his car, but Aguilar allegedly refused to cooperate before abandoning his car and fleeing on foot.
With the help of the Sheriff’s K9 squad, he was eventually placed and taken into custody.

He was arrested for attempted murder, attacking with a deadly weapon, tricking, threatening the victim and robbery.
Details about the suspect and victim knowing each other were not released. The incident is under investigation.
