The new video shows the shocking moment as a Delta jet hit the runway and flipped through at Toronto Airport on Monday.
The footage obtained by TMZ shows the Mitsubishi CRJ-900LR coming to land with a stretched landing gear, bumping into the runway, sliding along with a burst of flames and smoke.
The YYZ runway appeared to be covered in snow and ice from the weekend storm.
All 80 people on the flight that began in Minneapolis survived. However, 18 people suffered relatively minor injuries.
“We are extremely grateful for the loss of life or relatively minor injuries,” Deborah Flint, CEO of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, told reporters.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
This was the fourth serious aviation accident in North America in recent months.
On January 29, 67 people were killed in a tragic clash with an army helicopter near Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC. Just two days later, on January 31st, a medical transport crashed in Philadelphia, with all six on board and one on the ground claiming. Then, on February 6th, 10 people died in a crash on an Alaska plane.
