A suspect DUI has been arrested after a man was killed in a boat crash in San Bernardino County.
On July 25th, Colorado River Station deputies responded to a crash on the Colorado River, just south of Haribashi, after 5:30pm.
Yukaipa suspect Bruce Southworth, 43, was operating a 22-foot Cheetah deck boat down river when he hit a drifting 18-foot Sanger ship.
This effect left the male victim in the seriously injured Sanger. He was taken to hospital, where he died of injuries. He was later identified as Weston Stewart, 38, of Raverne.
Investigators said alcohol appears to be a factor in the fatal conflict. Southworth was arrested at the scene for negligent use of the vessel while drunk, causing injuries.
No further details have been made as a fatal incident remains under investigation.
