The suspect was fatally shot deadly by one of four other robbers Thursday morning as he tried to escape from his Los Angeles County home, authorities said.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department answered a robbery call at his home in the 11,000 block of Linden Street, Lynwood, around 1:45am.
“On arrival, deputies found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound,” the Sheriff’s Department said.
The murder investigator later determined that the man was one of five adult male suspects who entered the house wearing black clothes.
“The suspect was surprised by the presence of the residents and ran from the location. As he escaped, the suspect fired an unknown firearm at the residence,” the Sheriff’s Department said.
The unidentified suspect was declared dead at the scene.
The remaining suspects were finally seen running north on Liden Street and out of sight.
