A woman suspected of murdering Captain Calfire has been convicted of killing her first spouse

A woman suspected of killing her wife, the Calfire captain who fought the Eton fire last month, was previously convicted of killing her first spouse, records show.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Yolanda Malodi, also known as Yolanda Oreziniczack, is a suspect in the murder of his wife, Rebecca Malodi. Rebecca Malodi, 49, was found dead after being stabbed Monday at a Ramona residence.

Sheriff Michael Crew said Rebecca and Yolanda Morody were married for just over two years. According to public records, they also shared the same address.

Yolanda Morody was sentenced to 11 years in 2004 after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter for the fatal stabbing of her then-husband James Joseph Olezizak, according to court records. Ta. She spent time in prison from 2004 to 2013.

Molodi, 53, is currently on a large scale, and authorities are seeking the public’s help in finding her. She is said to be around 166 pounds and 5 feet 2 with brown hair, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s department.

Rebecca Malody began her career as a volunteer firefighter in Moreno Valley in 1993, and worked as a seasonal firefighter in Riverside and San Bernardino counties from 1994 to 2000. She was an engineer in fire equipment in 2007 and was promoted to captain in 2022.

According to an Instagram post, Malody was one of many firefighters who helped fight the deadly Eaton fire last month.

Yolanda Marodi’s Instagram account included a reference to Rebecca Marodi as his wife.

“I don’t need any special occasions to express my love for my wonderful wife,” Yolanda Malodi wrote in a January 2023 post. “I’m so lucky to marry someone who loves me for me. She really helps me become a better person, and because she was there, my life once was It’s so much better. I’m glad that you gave me love.”

Rebecca Malody replied with the comment, “I love my beautiful wife.”
