Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil is targeting the US government for $20 million after being targeted for deportation and locked up by the Trump administration.
“Halil is seeking $20 million and will use it to support others that the Trump administration and Columbia University have similarly targeted,” the Center for Constitutional Rights noted in a press release. “He will accept an official apology and abandonment of the administration’s unconstitutional policy in place of payment.”
The release said “the claim is a precursor to a federal lawsuit against the Trump administration, which is based on the Federal Tort Claims Act, the federal law of 1946, allowing an individual to sue damages for a violation of civil law.”

Activists have accused Israel of committing genocide against Gaza.
“This is the first step towards accountability. I cannot recover the 104 days stolen from me. Trauma, separation from my wife, the birth of the first child I was forced to miss. However, the same government intended to speak me said it was based on press release, using taxpayer dollars for the ongoing genocide of Israel.

Homeland Security Director Tricia McLaughlin denounced Halil in a statement.
“Mahmoud Khalil’s claim that DHS officials branded him as an anti-Semite and terrorized him, his family is absurd. It was Halil who terrified Jewish students on campus. “It is a privilege to be granted a visa or green card to live and study in the United States. The Trump administration acted well within the statutory and constitutional authority to bind Khalil, as well as Jews who defend, glorify and support violence, and aliens who support damages property.”
