Actor Pedro Pascal, a star of HBO’s “The Last of Us,” has attracted much attention as the next star of the character’s dramatic season 2 arc, Marvel’s “Fantastic Four: First Step,” has recently raised eyebrows for comments he made about the creator of another book and film series.
This week, 50-year-old Pascal opposed J. K. Rowling, creator of “Harry Potter,” calling the billionaire author a “savage loser” because of his well-known (and criticized) anti-trans views.

Pascal’s comments were a response to an Instagram post by activist Tarik Rauf, seeking a boycott of the upcoming Harry Potter television series reboot (all “Potter”) after Rowling made a post celebrating the UK Supreme Court’s ruling that established that the legal definition of women is based on biological sex, and then she said. As Reuters explained, domination means that trans women can be excluded from women’s services, including shelters and hospitals.

Rowling was criticised (and celebrated by some) for the Post, along with reports reported on a £70,000 donation to Scottish women, as well as the anti-trans campaign group that sparked the lawsuit that led to the award. While seeking a boycott of “Potter” products and content is nothing new, Rowling’s reported contribution to bringing real-life changes in the lives of trans people has driven things to higher gear.
“JK Rowling enjoys the fact that the UK Supreme Court helped trans women to be legally defined, not women,” Rauf said. “She is extremely proud of her fears and fears about a very small minority population over the past few years.
In a reply to Raouf, Pascal wrote:

Pascal has been acting since the late 1990s, but has been a prominent rise in recent years after his roles in HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and Disney’s “The Mandalorian.” The actor works in the LGBTQ+ community and has a prominent intimate friendship between Trans Sister Lux and gay actor Russell Touby.

Pascal, who plays Rex Reed/Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming Marvel films, recently showed trance support in the UK premiere of Marvel’s “Thunderbolt.” Pascal was wearing a “Protect the Dolls” T-shirt created by designer Connor Ive.
It’s not the first time Pascal has spoken about trans rights. Earlier this year, Pascal posted a photo on Instagram with a sign saying, “There is no world without trans people, no will.”

Rowling has received much backlash for his recent comments, but the 59-year-old author recently reposted his previous response to his previous response, in response to his current author.
Last September, one X user told Rowling “he’s burning her pathetic book.”

Rauf says that this kind of attitude is exactly why Rowling should be responsible in her pocketbook. Over 36,000 likes!
