After a hectic first week in office, President Donald Trump has a less busy public schedule scheduled for Monday. That doesn’t mean there won’t be plenty of action. The 47th president is known for making major actions and announcements without prior notice.
Trump administration needs more planes for deportations: Report

The president will attend the House Republican Conference at Trump National Doral Miami early in the week, but the time has not been determined. The Republican Party’s January retreat is an opportunity for the party to plan its approach to implementing a shared agenda with President Trump. Key policy initiatives likely to be addressed include the president’s push for increased border security and ongoing deportation efforts, increased domestic energy production, and a new tax plan.
House Speaker Mike Johnson told Politico that he hopes there will be a “blueprint” for developing a large-scale settlement after the withdrawal. The House Budget Committee, tasked with developing instructions on the bill, is scheduled to meet next week.

Another event key to President Trump’s early priorities is a hearing before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation entitled “Tolls and Foreign Influence: The Panama Canal Investigation and its Implications for U.S. Trade and National Security.” It’s a meeting. Confirmation hearings continue this week in the Senate, including Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Kelly Loeffler, and Kash Patel.
Immigration and deportation operations are expected to continue, with Border Patrol Commissioner Tom Homan and Acting Deputy Attorney General Emile Bove scheduled to travel to Chicago on Sunday to see increased enforcement measures.
