First on FOX: Veterans Secretary Doug Collins announced Monday afternoon that the VA clinic in Los Angeles must be closed suddenly as the Angel City burned violence following an ice attack.
“We support illegal immigrants and against the rule of law, to the violent riots of Los Angeles riots. Your actions are hindering the health care of veterans,” Collins said.
The secretary, a former Republican House member from Georgia, said his agency had to make “a difficult decision” to temporarily close outpatient care centers in LA.
Collins told Fox News Digital that California leaders “put the benefits of illegal immigrants and criminals more repeatedly than those of hardworking citizens.”

“[N]OW, veterans in Los Angeles are paying the price,” he said.
“We are grateful that President Donald Trump has the courage to restore order and security to the citizens of Los Angeles.
Collins ensured that the clinic would soon reopen as safe, where veterans in need of care could reschedule or pursue telehealth options.

The center is between Skid Row and Union Station, just off the US 101 Expressway, one of the competing highways over the weekend.
According to KABC, officers of the California Highway Patrol were left behind by the vehicle at some point on the road.

In a recent television interview, Collins said he remains focused on the mission of his agency.
“The president told me to do one thing and that’s the care of our veterans.”
