The chairman of the Senate Intelligence Email Committee said the future of the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel and now the US is “really in Iran to decide.”
R-Ark. Sen. Tom Cotton of the ABC appeared on “this week” to discuss the US strike against Iran, which he said “severely damaged Iran’s important nuclear infrastructure.”
“The Supreme Leader and Iranian Ayatollah need to understand that President Trump means business,” Cotton said.
“They have the opportunity to appeal for peace here, to dismantle the rest of their nuclear program and actually continue to survive. We are not targeting the Supreme Leader, and not targeting their energy infrastructure, so we are not targeting other critical infrastructure,” he continued.

“It’s an implicit message that Iran still has what they cherish, and that neither the US nor Israel has been hit. Iran needs to listen to President Trump’s warning.”
When asked by ABC’s Jonathan Karl whether the US would target Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Cotton said he “does not control a single target,” but President Donald Trump revealed he would “not bluff.”

“And there are still many targets that Iran is very cherished,” Cotton warned. “Look at the lessons of history in my message to the Supreme Leader. Don’t seduce fate. Don’t target Americans. I’ll listen to Donald Trump’s warnings,” Cotton said.
