“He’ll see what he thinks is right, and if that’s right, that’s fine,” House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Harris, D-Md. told Fox News Digital. “If not, we will bring our privileged resolution to strip him from his committee.”
Freedom Caucus members told Fox News Digital that the group is in contact with Johnson’s office on the issue.
The conservative Caucus threatened to file a resolution last week to remove Green from all committees during President Donald Trump’s speech to Congress.

The protest kicked a Texas Democrat out of his room minutes after the address began.
“We’re going to ask Mike Johnson what he wants to move forward. We talked about a lot, but different people had different ideas. But the weight of our hearts said he’s going to do it again,” Rep. Ralph Norman told Fox News Digital. “My only thing is, that kind of action requires consequences.”
Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) said, “There are all kinds of options and I don’t think any of them have been decided yet.”
Green was denounced by a 224-198 vote on Thursday morning after repeatedly confusing the beginning of Trump’s primetime speech.
He cried out, “I have no obligation to cut Medicaid!” In Trump, he rocked his wand into the air when the president promoted Republican victory in the House, Senate and White House. Speakers Mike Johnson, R-La. , after giving a warning, the green was removed from the chamber.

But the House Freedom Caucus members want to go further, and they want everything from the green fine to the threat of resolution to be brought to light.
R-Mo. Rep. Erik Burrison told Fox News Digital that he didn’t want to give “more oxygen” to the Green issue, but suggested that proper punishment would strip Texas lawmakers of seniority privilege.
“The office has no seniority, there is no seniority in the parking lot. The committee – all of that,” Burrison explained.

Meanwhile, the Green House Democrats allies temporarily plunged the House floor into chaos after a denunciation vote. They crowd greens and sang “We’ll overcome” as Johnson is ready to read another formal part of the process: the accusation.
Johnson has made numerous efforts to order Democrats to order them multiple times, and has been forced to suspend the home floor lawsuit after failing.
R-Tenn, another member of the Freedom Caucus. Rep. Andy Ogles of the committee submitted a resolution in response to stripping all the problematic Democrats.
However, Harris and Clyde show that the current discussion with leadership focuses solely on Green.

“no one [else] I waved my wand to the president, but I didn’t accept it…read the rebuke without interruption,” Harris said.
Clyde added, “And no one else had to throw it away.”

In an interview with Fox News on Friday, Johnson confirmed he was in discussion with the House Freedom Caucus about the punishment for Green.
“I spoke with members of the Freedom Caucus and other Republicans who are deeply concerned about this,” Johnson said, “Outnumbered.” “They say we have to restore control in some way, and we need real results, and that’s what we’re seeing early next week.”
Greene currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee. He is the top Democrat on the subcommittee for oversight.
Fox News Digital reached out to representatives for Johnson and Green for comment, but did not immediately respond.
