Alaska Airlines passengers can reach Bayou and other destinations after the airline unveiled its ninth Disney-themed aircraft at Portland International Airport on Friday.
In a partnership with Disneyland Resort, the aircraft, a custom painted Boeing 737 800 inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studio’s “Princess and the Frog,” celebrates Princess Teana’s spirit and journey as an entrepreneur, highlighted in Disneyland’s latest attraction, Tiana’s Bay Adventure.
This is the first Disneyland resort-themed plane in the airline’s fleet to shine a spotlight on Disney Princesses. The aircraft was announced prior to its first flight to Santa Ana.
“Every trip should be as magical as our destination, and Teana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer brings that wonder into the sky in a way that perfectly complements our commitment to creating incredible journeys,” said Eric Edge, vice president of brands and marketing at Alaska Airlines, in a statement. “The aircraft captures Princess Teana’s love of exploration and adventure, encouraging guests to embrace new possibilities and create memories along the way.”
Teana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer debut is ahead of Disneyland Resort’s 70th anniversary ceremony, which begins on May 16, 2025 and runs through the summer of 2026.
The new aircraft will be participating in a lineup of other Disney-themed planes, including “Mickey’s Tone Town Express,” “Star Wars Transport to Disneyland Resort,” and “Beyond Disneyland Resort.”
