Authorities issued a warning to an elderly woman at risk who went missing in Los Angeles on Sunday morning.
Peggy Amenta was last seen around 8am and drove a silver Nissan Sentra in the Tampa Avenue and Rinal Distres areas, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Lovers are seeking the public’s help in finding her, especially as she has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and her safety is at risk.
Ammenta is called a 79-year-old white woman with 5 feet tall and 8 inches tall, weighing about 110 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes, according to LAPD.
The last Nissan she saw was a 2016 model with license plate number 7ubv634.

The California Highway Patrol issued a silver alert to Amenta on behalf of LAPD. The agency’s website says these alerts will only be activated if elderly, developmental or cognitively impaired are gone and are deemed at risk.
“Silver Alerts provide immediate information to the public to help those at risk of meeting the criteria recover quickly,” the CHP website states.
To activate the state’s Silver Alert Plan, the CHP said the following criteria must be met:
Missing persons are over the age of 65 and have developmental or cognitive impairment. The law enforcement agencies investigating are using all available local resources. Law enforcement will determine that the person has disappeared under unknown or suspect circumstances. Law enforcement believes that person is at risk due to age, health, mental or physical disabilities, environmental or weather conditions. The person is the company of a potentially dangerous person or another factor that indicates that the person may be at risk. If it is publicly available, there is information that can help the missing person recover safely.
