Alina Haba’s court-appointed replacement was quickly fired by Trump Dozi

The future of U.S. attorney Alina Haba as the top prosecutor in New Jersey plunged into uncertainty on Tuesday after a district court judge kept her in the role and moved the Department of Justice (DOJ) to quickly fire her replacement.

Habba’s 120-day term expires this week, giving the judge the authority to extend her term or vote to choose a new US lawyer.

The New Jersey judge’s bench revealed that most of them were appointed by the Democratic president, but on Tuesday it voted to replace Haba with career prosecutor and Haba’s top assistant, Digily Grace. But with a twist, the department quickly moved to fire blessings, leaving the question of who will play the role open.

Attorney General Pam Bondy said Grace’s firing should show that the DOJ “does not tolerate fraudulent judges, particularly when it threatens the president’s core Article II powers.”

“@usattyhabba has done a great job again making NJ safe,” Bondi writes to X.

Haba, who served as President Donald Trump’s personal and legal spokeswoman during the campaign, sparked the controversy shortly after she rose to US lawyers.

She was arrested by Newark Democratic mayor Las Baraka for trespassing in an immigration detention facility in May. However, Haba quickly dropped the charges and the judge scolded her for the move. Baraka is currently suing Haba for his honor and loss.

Trump announced earlier this month that he wanted to retain Haba as a US lawyer and earlier this month he wanted to nominate him for a four-year position. Haba also robbed her of support from several law enforcement groups who praised her as a strict prosecutor who prioritized street crime.

However, Haba has also been heavily criticized for having no prior prosecution experience and politicized his role. For example, include what I said after I got a job I wanted to “turn to New Jersey Red” on my right-wing podcast.

Haba has at best a rocky path to the Senate confirmation after two New Jersey Democrat Senators Corey Booker and Andy Kim refuse to give her a recommendation in her favour as part of the Senate’s “blue slip” tradition. Courtesy can be ignored by the Senate, but it is rare to do so.

Before her firing, Booker blessed the grace.

“I respect today exercise my authority to appoint a new US lawyer for the New Jersey area and congratulate Digily Grace, who has been the prosecutor in the office since 2016.

It was not immediately clear who would fill Haba’s role. Trump has found a roundabout way to temporarily revive U.S. lawyers in the Upstate New York area, which was in a situation like Haba. Fox News Digital reached the White House for comment.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche defended Haba in a statement Tuesday, with a New Jersey District Court judge saying he was trying to “force” Haba early, and her term didn’t end until Friday.

“Their Rush reveals what this has always been: a leftist agenda, not the rule of law,” Blanche said. “When judges act like activists, they undermine our confidence in our judicial system. Alina chooses to take the lead for President Trump, and the partisan bench can’t override it.”
