Some Riverside County neighbors said Amazon packages were no longer delivered to their doorsteps and were instead told to pick them up at the fire station or post office.
Neighbors in the Anza community said they have had to chase down delivery drivers during the busy holiday season since delivery services stopped about a month ago.
“Amazon drivers won’t deliver. They call and hang up. Then I get a message saying they can’t access our house and they’re not there,” she told Anza. said resident Missy Zilger.
Anza’s Ziegler and others contacted Amazon about the issue. Although they were promised that the issue would be resolved, they say nothing has changed.
Amazon customers say they sometimes have only an hour to get their packages at the post office or fire station.
“First, it was the post office. They were sitting in the parking lot. I heard it’s now in the fire station,” one neighbor said.
Even if you run into an Amazon delivery driver, there’s no guarantee that your order will be in the truck.
“It’s very frustrating. You pay for Prime. You order things and you don’t get them. Then you have to figure it out on your own,” complained another neighbor.
In response to the issue, Amazon said it was investigating the matter.
