Amazon’s annual Prime Day event offers even greater discounts for Prime members.
This week, the company announced that Prime Day 2025 will be extended to four days, kick-off on July 8th and end on July 11th.
However, one of the best early deals for Prime members is the gas discount, an offer that runs on the holiday on July 4th.
Prime members will earn from 1 gallon to 1 dollar per gallon on the pump from July 3rd to July 6th.
Last year, the company added fuel discounts to its perks list, giving Prime members 10 cents off per gallon at thousands of gas stations in the US
Prime members already include free shipping, Whole Foods savings, prescription benefits, access to Amazon videos, music, games and photo storage, and free one-year memberships and prescription drug discounts to Grubhub’s premium “Plus” delivery service. Membership costs $139 per year. Discounted memberships are available for $69 per year to students with a valid school email account.
According to the AAA, the discount was the average price of the pump at $3.16 per gallon, which averaged the usual price.
How to get Amazon Prime gas discounts
The $1 gas discount applies to more than 7,500 AMOCO, AM/PM and BP gas stations nationwide. To receive a discount, members must sign up for BP’s free Heardify Rewards program. This works with all three BP-owned gas station brands.
Members must visit the Amazon.com fuel saving page and link their Prime account to their acquisition account. Next, download the HEARNIFY app and find your nearest AMOCO, AM/PM or BP gas station.
To redeem an offer at the pump, enter your phone number or linked payment method when you supply the fuel. Members can also use the heardify app to redeem the discount by selecting the gas station and pump they use.
A $1 per gallon discount applies to up to 35 gallons. However, Prime members can save 10 cents per gallon throughout the year.
