It’s no surprise that cell phones, wallets and keys are the most common items left in Uber cars. But a urinal and a stuffed rabbit?
Uber released the 2025 Lost & Found Index, listing the 50 most unique items left on ride-sharing vehicles.
Among the memorable ones are the mannequin heads with human hair, Shrek’s ears, divorce papers, breast milk, live turtles, 10 live lobsters and ghost traps from the Ghostbusters.
Uber passengers left many groceries, including 175 burger sliders, 24 cans of corn, five-gallon buckets of beans and a bucket of feta cheese.
The ride-sharing giant also ranked the 10 most “unforgettable” cities leading the pack when it comes to abandoned items. New York was first followed by Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington, DC.
In some cases, the data is very specific. For example, Uber said people are most likely to forget Monday gloves, Tuesday jackets, Wednesday medicine and Thursday and Friday umbrellas. And what is the most unforgettable day of the past year? October 26th.
While it’s fun to read, there are some points on the list. Uber is trying to show how easy it is to get lost items on the app or online at help.uber.com. You can also call the driver.
“This year, Uber riders have left behind some truly unforgettable items,” said Camiel Irving, VP of GM Of Operating at Uber’s Mobility US&C. “We understand how important it is to reunite with lost possessions, whether essential or completely unusual.”
