The 70-year-old man died Monday afternoon after being involved in a collision with a cruiser at the Los Angeles Police Station.
The crash occurred around 2pm in the 10,900 block of West Saticoicecent in Sun Valley, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The Sky5 video showed a silver Honda sedan that caused heavy damage to the driver’s side, and a LAPD Ford Interceptor SUV vehicle with significant front-end damage.

The fire department responded to the scene and transported two LAPD officers to a local hospital for treatment. Their status has not been revealed.
The 70-year-old man, the Honda driver, was locked inside and controlled “over medical assistance and deceased” by paramedics.

As of 3pm, emergency responders remained on the scene and Satico Street was closed between Vineland and Riverton Avenue. The timeline for when the roads resumed was not released.
A Los Angeles County medical inspector was called to the scene to assist with an ongoing investigation.
