Residents called the city’s Community Safety Director Danny Rivas and said the signs were removed immediately according to the publication.
According to the city’s website, the city’s community safety department is “working to ensure public safety and improve the quality of life in our communities.”
Since taking office, President Donald Trump has signed several executive orders on immigration aimed at fulfilling his promises of a massive deportation and border security campaign.
As part of the order signed by Trump, ice agents are now allowed to enter “sensitive areas” to make arrests, including churches and schools.
Residents in Southern California and elsewhere have been protesting in response to Trump’s executive orders regarding immigration.
Schools in the LA area are handing out cards that “know your rights” . This is approached by ice agents to inform students of legal protections.
