Recently retired Andy Murray has teamed up with Novak Djokovic and will work with him as a coach until the Australian Open in January.
Murray’s representatives released statements from both players on Saturday.
With the 2024 season over, Djokovic said, “I’m excited to have one of my biggest rivals on the same side of the net as my coach,” adding, “I’m looking forward to the season starting and competing in Australia with Andy.” “I’m doing it,” he said. Djokovic has won 24 Grand Slam tournaments and has spent more weeks in first place than any player in tennis history.
Murray finished 2016 at the top of the ATP Rankings, winning three major trophies and two Olympic singles gold medals. He retired as a player after the Paris Summer Games in August.

Djokovic has defeated Murray four times in the Australian Open final alone, in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2016.
