Progressive groups across the country once again protested President Donald Trump on Monday. The “not my President’s Day” or “no King’s Day” protests were organized by the 50501 Movement, a coalition of activists concluded against Trump’s “Enforcement Overreach.”
From Austin, Texas to Orlando, Florida, Boston and Phoenix, protesters gathered in American cities to hold handmade signs, sing songs of resistance and chanting in protest. On President’s Day, more than a thousand people gathered at the Capitol, reflecting the pool in Washington, D.C.
“On Monday, we call on organisations and activists across the country to reunite,” Sarah, the 50501 movement and voice of Florida organizers, said in a statement before President’s Day. “We will not quietly give up on the basis of fascism. We will fight Project 2025 and fight for the future of all beautiful communities.”

Protesters said they fear losing their personal freedom, but the White House told Fox News Digital that Trump is “a leader of all Americans.” In response to the “not my President’s Day” protest, the Trump administration highlighted his “overwhelming mandate” from the American people on Election Day and his commitment to providing his campaign promises. .

The 50501 movement marked 50 protests in 50 states per day, starting with the Reddit Post, the national core member of the 50501. From there, #buildtheresistance and #50501 gained traction on social media. On February 5th, they mobilized over 20,000 people across the country to protest Trump’s policies and Project 2025.
“All of this happened very organically and very quickly,” Sarah told Fox News Digital. “I think people didn’t know where to put their feelings. They didn’t know how to move. I think the shells were shocked. I heard.”
The 50501 movement adopts a decentralized approach, allowing individual groups and cities across the country to clarify their mission. Sarah is also the executive director of Florida Voice, highlighting reproductive, immigration and queer rights.

50501 does not partner with political parties and does not have a clear leader in the organization. In the protests in Washington, D.C., organizers preached peace and emphasized that citizen disobedience was not welcome.
