Hysterical protesters screaming about Gaza’s “genocide” suspended an event at the district’s town hall, hosted by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (DN.Y.) shortly after it began Friday night.

When Ocasio-Cortez first began speaking, she raised the PowerPoint presentation for the evening event. She then passed the first slide after being suspended, discussing the Trump administration’s budget cuts, including allegations of cutting back on the local health system.

“I’m a healthcare worker and I want to know what you’re doing about Gaza’s genocide!” protesters began screaming at lawmakers.

“Shame! Shame! Shame!” The audience began screaming at the destroyer. I was able to hear the “boo” that I could hear.

At an Earth Day press conference on April 22, DN.Y. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said the protest at Columbia University was “peace.” (Fox News)

Ocasio-Cortez tried to soothe the destroyer, but she had nothing to calm people down. The event staff allowed the vandals to continue screaming until they approached her and eventually led her voluntarily.

“I’m embarrassed, I was supporting you,” the woman cried out as she left. “You are a war criminal! War criminal! War criminal!”

Ocasio-Cortez responded to the protesters after things got quiet.

“I welcome people who disagree, and welcome people who are very angry at me because the issues come, but there are some basic rules here,” she told attendees at City Hall. “Wait for the Q&A because you don’t want to hear all your neighbors have the ability to have information and respond to them. You need to be able to have this conversation.”

As rumors swirled around Ocasio-Cortez’s ambitions for higher positions, lawmakers have won a massive amount of $9.6 million over the past three months. The record-breaking fundraiser was one of the biggest ever for Congressmen. The Ocasio-Cortez team emphasized that the funding was from 266,000 individual donors, with an average contribution of just $21.

“I can’t fully convey how grateful I am to the millions of people who support us with your time, resources and energy. Your support has enabled us to bring people together on record scales to organize their communities,” Ocasio-Cortez emphasized in a social media post.

Deirdre Heavey of Fox News Digital contributed to this report.
