Local officials say residents of Ventura County, especially those near Oxnard Airport, can expect to see military parachutes in the air throughout the week.
According to the Oxnard Police Department, the activity is part of a training exercise for the famous competitive parachute team, the US Army Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights will take place at Oxnard Airport throughout the week to carry out approximately 20 jump missions from Tuesday through Thursday.

The skydiving team was expected to arrive at Oxnard on a DeHavilland DHC-8 turboprop aircraft on Monday.
Oxnard police say the Golden Knights will carry out approximately eight jump missions each day from around 8:45am to around 2pm. Each jump could feature an assigned member of the Golden Knights team and two jumpers that operate in tandem.
Their plane takes off from Oxnard Airport, and they land back at the airport or the southern tip of Silver Strand Beach.
