An armed suspect was arrested Saturday afternoon in Ventura for allegedly confronting a neighbor over loud music.
The suspect was identified as 35-year-old Braurio Acosta, according to the Ventura Police Department.
Police responded to a report of a man with a gun outside his home on MacFarlane Drive, just east of Ventura Avenue, around 1:30pm.
The victim, 29-year-old, had invited relatives to someone who parked their car near Acosta’s home.
While carrying the firearms, Acosta is reportedly leaving his house and confronting the victims and his guests via loud music that was coming from their car.
During the conflict, Acosta was allegedly pointed a handgun at a neighboring relative, and “actively thrust the victim in his chest with a weapon,” authorities said.
He arrived at the scene located in Acosta and took him into custody. He was found with a loaded firearm.
He was arrested for assaulting with a deadly weapon and booked at the Ventura County Jail. No injuries were reported during the incident.
