Authorities said an armed suspect was fatally shot by an employee Tuesday night while trying to steal a pharmacy in Los Angeles County.
Officers received a 911 call shortly after 11pm, reporting a robbery at Savage Mobile, in the 5800 block of Imperial Highway at South Gate.
Arriving at the scene, officers learned that the robber suspect was shot dead and still in business, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to KTLA.
The suspected robber was found to be suffering from a gunshot wound and was declared dead at the scene.

The suspect was shot and killed following a kind of struggle with an armed employee. A spokesperson said the employees were helping with the investigation.
The shop is called Savage Mobile, but the spokesman said the business is a marijuana clinic rather than a mobile store.
