Investigators arrested two men earlier this month in connection with a horrifying lure and robbery in Culver City.
The violence unfolded as a victim described solely as a victim on May 13, and left the business when the suspect, near the muzzle, was ordered to enter the Silver SUV in the 3800 block of Midway Avenue near Venice Boulevard, according to a news release from the Culver City Police Department.
The gunman and another suspect drove the victim to an unidentified bank on Palms Boulevard, forcing the man to several cash withdrawals.
“After trying to obtain additional funds through a loan from a friend, the suspect returned the victim to the bank for further withdrawal of the ATM,” the investigator said.
The thief, who left for less than $600, was warned not to contact law enforcement and abandoned the victim in a nearby residential area.

After a while, the man entered the Culver City Police Station and reported the invitation and robbery.
The detective immediately began an investigation, which ultimately led to the identification of the two suspects. They were identified as Franzezo Dumitre, a Washington resident, now a 23-year-old, and Stan Eduardo, a 21-year-old, a New York resident.

“On May 27, detectives from the Culver City Crime Impact Team responded to the Castaic area and found the suspect’s vehicle parked in a local motel,” officials said. “At about 11:20am, two individuals matching the suspect’s description were found and detained during a high-risk traffic stop on the Newhall Ranch Road Off Ramp on Interstate 5.”
Investigators did not provide information regarding the suspect, vehicle or evidence that could have been recovered in the hotel room, but said they had been booked at Culver City Jail for ransom and lures for the robbery.
It is also unclear whether the two men committed similar crimes in Southern California.
Since then, both men have been formally charged by the LA County District Attorney’s Office, officials said.
