An arson suspect was taken into custody and one woman was minor injuries after a fire broke out in the five-storey Koreatown apartment building on Tuesday, firefighters said.
Crews at the Los Angeles Fire Station responded to a report of the flames at 154 N. New Hampshire Avenue, 154 New Hampshire Avenue, just after 1pm, and found smoke swirling from the apartment unit on the fourth floor.
The firefighters quickly took an offensive approach and entered the building, the firefighters said.

“The fire company on the scene coordinated fire attacks and ventilation between multiple levels of the five-storey apartment building,” authorities added.
It took about 30 minutes for 61 firefighters to call a knockdown of the flames.
A woman at the scene who was treated for minor injuries and was said to be in “fair condition” refused to be taken to the hospital.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but authorities said the arson suspect was taken into custody, but no further information was provided about the individual.
