At least five people were injured in a crash crash of two cars on Sunday evening in the Los Angeles port area, authorities confirmed with KTLA.
Details are limited and it is unclear exactly how the crash occurred, but Los Angeles Fire Department officials responded to the intersection of N. Wilmington Boulevard and W. Of Street just before 8pm
In a video posted to the Citizen app, a dark-colored four-door sedan suffered serious damage after collided with a power pole and crushed the vehicle’s hood almost towards the windshield. It also appears that airbags are being deployed inside the car.
The second vehicle, an older model, a brightly colored Volkswagen beetle, was seen in the middle of the intersection before loading it into a flatbed tow truck. It is unknown how much damage the vehicle is.

Officials have yet to confirm the details with police, but there have been early reports that the 3-year-old is among the victims who needed advanced care due to their injuries.

Footage from the scene showed a large field of shrapnel with yellow tape surrounding the scene.
At the intersection, which was closed to traffic, about half a dozen people were talking to officers in the Southern Transportation Division of the Los Angeles Police Department.
It is currently unclear whether all five injured people were taken to hospital and what condition the patient is in. At least one ambulance was seen on video and left the crash scene.
No other information was provided, and investigators also said they believe alcohol or drugs are the factors behind the accident.
