According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fire in Van Nuisse’s shed and attic claimed the lifespan of at least one bird.
Breaking news published by LAFD shows that firefighters were first called to the 7800 block of Zombah Avenue just after 11:20am on Saturday.
Upon arrival, the crew discovered that the shed behind the two-storey house was well involved in the fire and exposure of the adjacent house.

The wires also fell down to Stag Street, east of the fire location. Multiple advantages of the fire were posted on the Civic App, showing that black smoke swirls through the air.
In a later update from LAFD, 42 firefighters said they extinguished a shed fire and attic fire that occurred in 36 minutes in the exposed detached house.

No injuries to residents or firefighters have been reported. However, at least one pet bird in the backyard died and the other bird was injured, Lafd said.
LA Animal Services has been notified and coordinated care for injured birds.
