Several Democratic National Committee officials accused DNC vice-chairman David Hogg of leaking audio recordings revealing the foreclosure as the 25-year-old progressive reformer faces expelled the foreclosure.
Politico first got about two minutes of audio from the May 15th Zoom call. On the Zoom call, Democrat National Committee Chairman Ken Martin accused Hogg of affecting his ability to lead.
Hogg, 25, was elected vice-chairman in February, but now risks losing his role after stirring up tensions in the party leadership. Hogg, a survivor of the 2018 Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, plans to spend $20 million to support progressive, and mostly young candidates, who will challenge incumbent Democrats in the safety district during the next election.
“It has a lot of warts and we are all trying to make sure we change them, but the more we continue to fight, the more difficult it becomes to actually do what we all want to do.

About 10 people were calling, including Hogg, other DNC officers and staff.
“I have a great respect for you, David. I was looking forward to working with you, but this created a situation. I’ll be honest with you for the first time in 100 days at this job,” Martin continued. And not for all the deniers?
“But this is, this is really everything you know from this election, the report of this credential, how Malcolm is being treated for you, what you know, the election itself, how Chasti and Gianna were treated with this,” Martin said. “I’m very frustrated to be in this position because what you’ve done, if you like it or if you know it, David, I’m trying to do it, who do I have no idea who I am?
“And again, I don’t think you intended this, but you essentially destroyed the chance to show the leadership I need,” Martin said. “So that’s really frustrating.”
Several party officials alleged in a statement from Fox News Digital that Hogg was behind the audio leak.
“Breaking News: Humans have had an annoying day at work. That’s all Ken expressed on that phone. I was there,” said DNC Vice Chair Malcolm Kenyatta. “For weeks I pointed out the causal relationship between David and the truth. He proves that he has nothing to do with integrity if he is willing to record and leak personal conversations.”

“Democrats aren’t the past. Democrats are what we do next. An endless selfish story of David Hogg and his allies — and the intentional leaks of private conversations must stop,” Jane Cleve, chairman of the State Council of Democrats, said in a statement in Fox News Digital.
“Instead of helping to rebuild the party he is supposed to serve, he is attacking it for personal gain,” Cleave continued. “It may boost his PAC funding, but it erodes confidence in the very institutions we are trying to reform and strengthen. I am proud of the reforms that we are moving forward with.
The Democratic National Committee is holding an electronic vote on Monday on whether Hogg and Kenyatta’s February elections will be invalidated as a secondary chair. Oklahoma DNC member Kalyn Free filed a formal complaint with the DNC, alleging that the February election of two men’s sub-chairs violated the DNC’s gender-balanced rules, but Hogg argued that the DNC was using the vote to promote his expulsion when attempting to reform the party.
Hogg responded to leaked audio in a statement to X.
“There’s a lot going on right now. Here’s what’s important: Trump has just nationalised California’s National Guard with the latest step in his authoritarian march to stop opposition to massive deportation,” Hogg said of Los Angeles anti-immigration and customs enforcement assault. “Republicans want us to turn each other on and get away from this. Chairman Martin and I have a disagreement and we are both here to build the party as strong as possible.”
“Our country is in a moment of crisis and people are looking for us to lead,” Hogg said. “This is a distraction that prevents us from doing that. Don’t help the GOP.”
Hogg also said he is sharing a message from a political reporter seeking comment on the story, saying, “Many people accusing me of leaking this recording.” He did not confirm or deny whether he was behind the leak.
“BS. It was you. Everyone knows that,” replied with an X, Democrat Sen. James Scorfes, a New York Democratic Sen.
Meanwhile, Martin said in a statement that he “don’t go anywhere” and took on the job as chairman of the DNC “to fight against the Republicans, not the Democrats.”
“Like I said when I was elected, our fight is not within the scope of the Democrats, and our fight should focus solely on Donald Trump and the disastrous Republican agenda,” he said. “That’s the job I keep doing every day.”

In a statement from Fox News Digital, more DNC officers expressed support for Martin and denounced Hogg.
“We have a lot to do as a party and Chair Martin is doing that,” said DNC associate chair Stuart Applebaum. “I’m totally confident in his leadership. The interests are so high right now that I can’t afford the distractions that David is creating.”
“As Speaker Martin said, the civil war is a waste of time when Donald Trump and the Republican Congress are taking health care and food from millions of Americans,” said DNC vice-chairman Artie Blanco. “Ken will not be here today for Snap and Medicaid. That’s the type of passionate leadership we should hope for in a party. The fact that someone candidly record and share that it’s more of a reflection of their character than a secret chair.
In a brief mention of the recording, DNC Associate Chair Shasti Conrad said in a statement to Fox News Digital, “DNC officers were operating under the assumption that this was a confidential call among colleagues.

Fox News Digital also contacted Hogg, and although the reader deserves comment on the recording, it has not yet provided a response.
