President Donald Trump plans to end the ban and restrictions on plastic straws, according to a recent post on the Truth Society.
“Next week I’ll sign the executive order and end Biden’s ridiculous push, but that won’t work,” Trump posted Friday. “Back to plastic!”
If signed, the executive order affects laws from several democratic operating states that currently prohibit or restrict single-use plastic straws, including California, Colorado, New York, Maine, Oregon, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Washington. Give it.
The imminent executive order comes just months after the Biden administration announced its federal government’s plan to phase out single-use plastics in July.
