A crude yet completely relevant parenting moment unfolded on Thursday by a friend of Big Bear Valley’s Bald Eagle Camera.
Jackie, an adult woman, enjoyed the fresh fish when one of the chicks “fired from a shot of poop” in her face.
“And the Sharpshooter Awards are… a little,” FOBBV joked in a social media post that included a slow-motion video of the incident. “Poor Jackie. Soon she’s wearing a full-face shield when feeding her kids.”

However, Jackie seemed to be in a non-graded manner, and continued to eat and feed the chicks, as if they weren’t making the chicks normal. The manager of the nonprofit said it was the second day in a row that the same Eagle chick pooped her mother.
“Fortunately” it’s just a baby” 😆 and then you run away with it,” writes Fobbv. “Isn’t it really a blessing to be able to see all these milestones?”
Jackie and her companion Shadow have captivated millions of people around the world through YouTube’s live streaming nesting cameras. Three of the eggs were hatched in early March, but only two chicks survived.
