Olive Middle School in Baldwin Park is canceling classes Friday the day after staff barricaded them inside campus buildings.
The news comes from Baldwin Park Unified School District, which said classes were cancelled at school on Friday as an investigation into the incident on Thursday is underway.
On Thursday, all Olive students and staff were evacuated from campus after a female staff member “caused disturbance” around 9:45am and remained barricaded inside the building for several hours.
In the afternoon, SWAT officials were negotiating with women on the scene.

KTLA has made several attempts to contact Baldwin Park Police Station throughout the evening, but no responses were received. The scene appeared to be active around 9:30pm
As of Friday morning, it is not yet clear whether the person was armed or whether she was in custody. No students or staff were injured during the situation.
All other Baldwin Park USD schools remain on Friday.
