The Barnsdall Art Park Foundation has announced the revival of one of Los Angeles’ signature summer traditions. We have announced the popular Friday Night Wine Tasting at Olive Hill, which will be held until September 2025. Now in its 16th season, the series offers participants the opportunity to drink boutique wine, enjoy panoramic views of the city, and support local art and preservation efforts.
The event, held at West Lawn at Los Angeles’ only UNESCO World Heritage Site, the historic Hollyhock House, features a selection of curated wines from Silver Lake Wine, local food trucks, guest DJ music, and access to exhibitions at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and Burnsdahl Junior Arts Center gallery.
The weekly gathering begins at 5:30pm and is strictly for those over the age of 21. General admission wine tasting tickets are $48, while Hollyhock House interior tours are limited to $37 add-ons.
Local bookstores launch large summer sale amidst long-lasting community support

After the 2024 sold out season, the foundation expanded the series for the first time in September, citing ongoing demand. Revenue from the series will directly benefit Barnsdall Park’s programming and repair projects. Organizers say the support will be particularly crucial this year as it cuts budget cuts in cities that are threatened to affect cultural resources across the site.
“Kiser Permanente is back as the lead sponsor for 2025 and we are grateful for their support,” the foundation said in a statement. “However, the looming threat of funds will help secure the future of Burns Dalart Park with every ticket purchase.”
Guests are advised to bring blankets or picnics, but no external alcohol, pets, lawn furniture, or children are permitted. Parking is limited and organizers are recommended to use the Metro or RideShare service.
