Bernie Sanders makes a surprise appearance at Coachella, attracting a huge crowd with AOC and DTLA

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is known for special guests coming out on stage to lock out with the Megastars, who headline the stage.

Indie-pop Darling Leiro had already had a massive crowd in the desert to watch her performance, but special guests who introduced her were featured throughout the festival. The longest-serving independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, known for his progressive politics, has taken the stage to convey the message he has been hashing for decades.

“Now you can turn your back and ignore what’s going on, but then you’ll do it in your own danger,” Sanders told the Coachella crowd. “We need you to stand up – to fight.”

Sanders, 83, one of the oldest members of the US Senate, appeared in Florida Rep. Maxwell Frost, 28, the youngest member of Congress.

Appearing before the young crowd along with the nation’s youngest elected federal representatives is just part of the Vermont Senator’s appeal against a promising generation in America.

Earlier in the day, while wearing a blue Dodgers hat, Sanders stood in front of an estimated crowd of 35,000 people in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday as part of a “Fighting Oligarchy” tour with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“The American people don’t want the wealthiest man on the planet that Washington, D.C. runs to destroy the Social Security Agency,” he said. Musk was a key adviser to new administration President Donald Trump. The pair were together at UFC 314 in Miami on Saturday night.

Ocasio-Cortez, well known for her initial AOC, is one of the most prominent progressives in the office. The 35-year-old name is among the potential presidential candidates for the Democratic presidential candidate in 2028, but believes that he could lie in the US Senate seat if he was opened to his home town in New York.

She has offered Sanders a similar rhetoric, believing that money has too much influence in politics and that America is becoming an Olivia right in front of our eyes.

“It’s not just institutions and officials who support our democracy,” she said in front of the DTLA crowd. “It will always be people, the masses who refuse to adhere to the authoritarian regime.”

The “Fighing Oligarchy” tour will continue to climb California in the coming days, stopping in Bakersfield and Folsom.
